My daughter wants to play one of the AG Mystery Games (probably Molly's) for her upcoming 10th birthday party. Have any of you tried this? If so, how did things go? I'd love to hear from any of you that have tried this for a party idea, or any of you that have played any of the games. Thanks!

I bought Samantha's Mystery Party when it first came out but have yet to host a party. I plan to in the future, though. It all looks like a lot of fun!

I think if your daughter and her friends are AG fans, they'll really enjoy any of the three games. I don't believe you need to fork out the $100+ for the complete party kit that AG sells on their website. You can purchase just the mystery party itself online from Amazon or from a bookstore - I know my local Borders has these in stock. If yours doesn't, they will usually be more than happy to special order it for you at no additional cost. (I think it's $16.95 for just the party box?) Then you can do up your own decorations and party treats to go along with the time period and the theme of the mystery party! You guys'll have a blast.

Edited because I know I can spell better than that - really!

Ksami, my thoughts exactly. I have no intention of paying $100 plus for the decorations (that will pay for her new doll!) I already told her we would buy the game and that was it. I actually saw it at Costco today and the actually mystery book was included. Wouldn't you know that we already own it. Our Barnes and Noble also carries the games.
